CEDEFOP-Zeitschrift wird eingestellt - Ersatz in Sicht?
Ende Juli hat die CEDEFOP gemeldet:
"In communicating the Governing Board's decision to discontinue the
European Journal of Vocational Training (EJVT) and its rationale to the
vocational education and training (VET) community, Cedefop underlined
the institutional and budgetary constraints it faces. The decision to
cease publishing the EJVT was very difficult for Board members, for the
Directorate and for all colleagues who have been working for more than
15 years on establishing the Journal.

The process of professionalisation of VET research remains however very
dear to our hearts, and we will pursue our efforts in this respect:
producing reports on European VET research; analysing national research
to identify cross-national issues which could benefit to developing the
European VET research area; as well as carrying out own research to
provide the necessary evidence on VET and skills developments for
policy-makers across Europe. In addition, Cedefop will of course
support scientifically, as well as by any other possible means, the
initiative of Mr Mulder and other members of the EJVT's editorial
committee to launch a new Journal of European Vocational Training
Research, in the spirit of the EJVT."
Aus der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Erziehungswissenschaften (www.bwp-dgfe.de) wird nun mitgeteilt, dass sich einige "Personen aus dem ehemaligen Editorial Committe bzw. dem Editorial Secretariat " unter der Federführung von Martin Mulder und Eveline Wuttke
zusammengetan haben, um die Zeitschrift neu zu starten. "Sie wird unter
dem Namen Journal of European Vocational Training Research (JEVTR)
herausgegeben werden. Verhandlungen mit zwei international renommierten
Verlagen sind bereits in einem fortgeschrittenen Stadium. Die neue
Zeitschrift soll deutlich forschungsorientierter sein als bisher.
Cedefop begrüßt und unterstützt die Initiative, betont allerdings, dass
die Zeitschrift nichts mehr mit der bisherigen und mit Cedefop zu tun
hat." Die erste Ausgabe soll im Frühjahr 2010 erscheinen, Manuskritpte
(in englisch) können bereits an

eingereicht werden.
